ABOUT MONTY’S // We’re is a grassroots community-development charity based at the heart of our neighbourhood on the edge of Southampton. We started life in 2013, when a group of volunteers from the local church and community saved our youth centre from closure. Soon reimagined as an inclusive ‘community hub’ for people of all ages, Monty’s has since grown to include over forty volunteers hosting a dozen weekly activities and regular community events with hundreds of people. We also run Monty’s Bike Hub, a social enterprise encouraging all things cycling on the east of the city. We are faith-based but not faith-biased; we are passionately inclusive within all aspects of the charity. Our vision is to enable the personal, social and spiritual growth of local residents; in partnership with our local community; so that we can all enjoy abundant life within a flourishing neighbourhood.
