Volunteering at Monty’s
Everything we do at Monty’s is run by or supported by our team of volunteers. Volunteers help out in a number of ways, including:
- Regular volunteering at an existing session, for example at one of our youth clubs or with Monty’s Building & Gardening Services. Volunteers involved in sessions usually commit to helping out for the same session each week.
- Supporting the ‘behind the scenes’ running of groups, sessions and the charity more generally. You might be able to offer administrative help, support with keeping the building tidy, or help with organising events.
- Offering a specific skill. If you’re an IT whizz, a DIY queen or a photgraphy pro, let us know. We’ll know you’re the person to ask when we need help with a specific task!
- Starting something new. If you’ve got an idea for something that you think others in the community might enjoy or find helpful, let’s talk!

Please note that we do not generally accept donations of games, furniture or household items – but there are some fantastic local charity shops who would be very grateful for your pre-loved goods!
